This is the final book in the Compass family series. I started reading Mari Carr by way of the Compass Brothers’ book (aka the fathers of the boys in the Compass Boys series.) “Light as Air” is the last book in the Compass Boys series.This book is about the friendship between Doug Compass and his best friend, TJ and a woman who becomes important to both of them, Rosalia. Doug has had it easy growing up surrounded by the love of his unusual but very loving family on the family ranch. TJ grew up with just his father but spend as much of his time as he could out at Doug’s family ranch. Things were not exactly easy at TJ’s house.Doug has found a job that he loves working for Rosalia as a videographer as part of her storm chasing team. The job is seasonal due to the nature of tornadoes but he loves the work he does and the videos that he helps to produce. And he loves Rosalia but he is hesitant to actually do something about his feeling for her.Doug is at home just before the storm season starts and realizes that TJ is in a very bad place and needs to get out of town. Luckily there is an opening on the crew and Doug talks TJ into going with him. And than TJ meets Rosalia and realizes that things can be much better.Can TJ and Doug work out their issues and admit their true feelings for each other? And their shared feelings for Rosalia? You definitely want to read this book to find out. So find a nice shaded spot with a comfortable chair, pour yourself a glass of your favorite chilled rosé or other white wine or non wine beverage and sit down and spend a few hours devouring this fantastic novel.
