It's a boy's own kind of story of aeroplanes and new mail routes explored, that enthralls old guys like me. There are bad guys trying to unscrupulously remove the opposition by any means. At the top of the list of good guys is Ralph Bellamy in a superb acting performance. His altruistic ideals of honour and virtue for everyone's good, are displayed throughout the storyline. The Columbia film includes some brief, but poignant appearances by ace aeroplane flyer, Wiley Post who would be killed tragically within weeks of the film being completed in 1935. With him was writer, comedian and American film legend Will Rogers. Historically the movie is important too, as Wiley Post's invention of an upper stratosphere flying suit is shown in the movie. That was a first. I like this movie, which is beautifully restored by Sony Pictures. It was a long wait, but wow!
